For over a decade Rose has been creating and exhibiting contemporary quilts. In her pieces she uses layers and layers of fabric and embellishments to magically transform her beloved Californian landscapes into rich designs exploring color and texture. Along with traveling throughout the U.S. lecturing and teaching, Rose exhibits her works both nationally and internationally, where pieces can be found in many private and public collections. To share her processes and love for the art of working in fabric, Rose has written a series of booklets providing background and instruction on various quilt art techniques, and is looking forward to publication in late 2008 of her book on her Fast-Piece Appliqué™ method of construction.
