I am a textile artist who is inspired by mathematics. I am intrigued by tapestry and taquete techniques with a penchant for the patterns and geometric structures in nature. I have been weaving since 2003 and love to interject a bit of whimsy into my creations. My designs seem to flash into my brain like lightening. Some designs are so clear and so intense I can see the finished tapestry before I even start. And in those cases, the weaving process is intense as the memory fights to see the light of day. There is a sense of relief when the tapestry is complete and the memory has moved from the mind to fiber. It is then I can smile and enjoy my creation.
