Marjan was born in the Netherlands.  After living in Australia, Hawaii and on the East Coast, she now resides in Davis, CA.  Marjan is an artist who uses hand-dyed fabrics and thread as her medium instead of paper and paint…and a sewing machine  instead of a brush. Most of her designs are organic.  They are influenced by her love of nature and all its wonders. She teaches her surface design techniques all over the country. Her work has been juried into many art shows.  She is a member of Studio Art Quilt Associates, the Northern California Quilt Council and Focus Fabric Art.
