Liz enjoys creating her own custom fabrics by painting, dyeing, rubber stamping, foiling, discharge and resist work in her fabrics-- with metallic, opalescent, iridescent and interference paints all included. Elements from nature are included in the design.  Colors tend to follow triadic combinations, She works intuitively and spontaneously most of the time, with a clear idea of where the piece will go. She particularly enjoys incorporating multiple levels of depth to the work, bringing one in closer and closer to see more detail.  The sewing machine is the final embellishment tool, adding lustrous threads and couching ribbons and yarns.Each piece is open to one's individual discovery and interpretation.
