Kim LaPolla captures nuance and duality in her stitched, layered,
and embellished fiber art. She creates her art using a combination of spontaneous inspiration and passionate design. Constantly looking for the elements of design in nature and everyday objects, Kim enjoys the challenge of interpreting these elements in
unexpected colors and patterns. She uses mostly commercially available materials as a means to express the subtle nuances and unexpected surprises that can be found when one closely examines just about any object, being, or feeling. Kim assembles her art using a variety of construction and surface design techniques. Kim exhibits at art shows and festivals, as well on her website. Her work can be also be found nationally in exhibits.
