As a fiber artist, Judy is inspired by the events of life and the world around her. Judy’s art manifests themes of celebration and joy, grief, loss and healing, peppered with occasional whimsy. Color and texture, fabric and paper, fibers and embellishments, all come together to reveal her personal response. Depending on the theme and the mood of the piece, she employs a variety of techniques – layering, controlled collage, improvisational piecing and slashing, unfinished edges – to capture the message and express it in her fiber art.
