Claudia uses surface design and hand-dyeing to create the right textures and effects for her work based on impressions of nature and rocks in particular. She manipulates fabric in a minimalist, painterly way and depicts form and substance by the use of shape. Concurrently, she has been developing a series of sculptural works that are an elemental response to nature. Above all, her work is about a conversation between the viewer and herself through beautiful colors, spare lines and elegant spaces.

Claudia has exhibited her textiles in museums, galleries and shows in Spain, France, Japan, Pakistan and throughout the United States.
She has participated in the "Arts in Embassies" program and received an Artist-In-Residence fellowship from Yosemite Renaissance, Yosemite National Park. She was featured in the DVD Video "Woman's Work: Making Quilts - Creating Art", which premiered on KQED-PBS San Francisco, California. She's had her work featured in several books and articles.
