Carol draws inspiration from an innate sense of color, a fascination with texture and pattern, and collections of photographs. She is intrigued both by creating a textile memory, as well as abstract design where she spontaneously cuts and stitches. Much of the cloth in her work is her own hand-dyed and painted, with imagery from personal stories, rubbings or marks. As dye, paint, imagery and cloth merge, a visual more complex than the original inspiration rises to the surface.

Carol’s award-winning work has been widely published, exhibited nationally and internationally, and is found in several corporate and private collections.
