I am a sculptor who makes use of handmade papers and plant fibers in the construction of abstract, nature based forms. Often, my sculptures can be considered vessels, boundaries around space that might contain forces or memory, remnants of thought, feeling. The materials I use are common, universal, degradable, malleable, easily defiled, fragile and prone to the fickleness of all kinds of weather, suggesting that these boundaries are temporal and, like life itself, will change or dissolve when least expected.
